So I tested out my batteries I bought for the side grip which were ot lasting very long but since a few firmware updates they are a lot better. I thought that this was due to turning off the SDI and WIFI power in the system menu but tests Ive done show this is not the case. It may have to do with lots of Highspeed recording but anyways these batteries seem to last about 44-49 minutes while recording or just turned on it does not matter.

If you search on DX.com or in other places its just called the Enel-15A or En el 15A and they are quite cheap. Shipping took forever but just buy a bunch and you should be ok. They come with a wall charger and a car charger per battery.

I will be trying the 18650 Batteries with the grip also and will post results here. The ENEL-15A batteries are 3200MAH so I would guess putting 3 of the 18650 batteries which are 3200MAH each should give you a lot of recording time.

    Hey buddy,

Really loving it that you talk about the batteries. I am really in a dilemma of how to run power on this bad boy. I still haven’t got the actual camera but I am getting prepared. I find that I might not need a V-lock system in the beginning. So what you are saying is that if use good 18650 batteries in the handle we could get around 2h+ from the grip?

Im hearing an hour on the 18650 batteries but they are cheap compared to a vlock setup. I have not tried the 18650 batteries yet but I know some have, I’ll post results back when I get to test them. Im taking my setup out to rental houses this week trying to get it out there a bit more

Do you have any idea how long a 130Wh battery will give. I read something like 8hours on Kinefinity.com. I am a bit sceptical more like 5-6 would be possible?

it would be pretty close to that. I have heard 140W for almost all day of shooting. ive been looking at the smaller 95W batteries to get around flight restrictions but a Vlock big battery like that should run the camera all day if not pretty close to it
