    A thread to list all the SSDs that have been tested to work with the KineMINI 4K. If you would like to add to the list, simply state below what the SSD make/model is, the size (128gb, 256gb etc) and what it works with (DNG, Cineform, KRW, Hispeed, 4K).

    Key

    D = Compatible with CinemaDNG

    C = Compatible with Cineform RAW

    K = Compatible with KineRaw

    H = Compatible with high frame rates

    4 = Compatible with 4K resolution

    SSD LIST

    KineMag – (D,C,K,H,4)

    Samsung 840 Pro – (D,C,K,H,4)

    SanDisk Extreme II – (D,C,K,H,4)

    SanDisk Extreme Pro 480gb – (D,C,K,H,4)

    Crucial MX100 512GB – (D,C,K,H,4)

    Crucial M550 512GB – (D,C,K,H,4)

    This is using the 512GB variant for what it’s worth.

    When I had the older Kineraw mini I bought the Kingston 240G V200+ which was rated for raw on the BMD site. It worked great but now it wont cut it for Highspeed or 4k but will work for 2k, and the highspeed in s16 mode. I will test it one more time but I think the recording cuts out.

    Hey Walterarial, While I don’t have my camera yet, or that specific card to test it, I would take an educated guess and say yes it will work.

    My reasoning for this is that it has the same specs (aside from double the capacity) as the M550 512GB model which has been tested as working with the camera.

    You can see the specs here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7864/crucial-m550-review-128gb-256gb-512gb-and-1tb-models-tested

    imagetemps, do you mean the Extreme Pro 480gb? I can’t find an Extreme Pro 460. Just for clarification before I add it to the list. 🙂

    Another SSD tested by one of our great customers:

    A-Data SP900 – (D, C, K, H, 2)

    2K is proven. Camera has no 4K Option right now so it was impossible to check it at 4K. However, it should work fine at higher resolution as well 🙂

    OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G 240GB and ADATA XPG SX900 256GB both work fine.

    I can confirm that the Kingston HyperX 240Gb works perfectly with all options (D,C,K,H,4)!
