thanks for sharing this modification. Looks very nice.
I read your interesting article but couldn’t find information about controlling lenses. Is it possible to control EF lenses from camera by modified Speed Booster? Or this is dumb adapter?
New full screen display! Nice. So there are 3 different displays now .
Proper naming for audio settings!
Additional 3K mode and also 3K 4:3 mode for anamorphic…[Read more]
You’re right – DaVinci & KineMini LUT’ are pain.
Sorry, I checked it again and you can shoot Cineform RAW in 4K for aprox. 10 sec. 🙁
Than you get FLUSH instead of REC and it stops. It’s a shame 🙁
Looks like Kinefinity couldn’t handle to make camera shoot 4K in Cineform and…[Read more]
No, I work with DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere. In this case I transcoded all footage to Cineform and imported it to Premiere (applied LUT by Lumetri Effect). I don’t use Speedgrade. Does Filmconvert work in Speedgrade?
I didn’t buy that case. For me it’s too small. I would need another one for other accessories. I have company in Poland who is producing custom cases. They will make me one.
But anyway sad to hear that the case doesn’t fit the description.
I report that SSD Crucial M550 512GB works well.
It could be good to make a list of SSD that are reported to be OK with KineMini at 4K.
Also I checked all my lenses with EF mount. And:
LENSES THAT WORKS (camera can control them):
– CANON 24mm f/1.4 L
– CANON 35mm f/1.4 L
– CANON 50mm f/1.2 L
– CANON 85mm f/1.2 L
– CANON 24-105mm f/4
– CANON…[Read more]
I bought POWER-U BP-150S 14.4V 150Wh
I have SSD Crucial M550 512GB – works without any problems at 2K and 4K.
I bought with SDI 3G because it is professional output. It’s much better than HDMI – HDMI cables break very easily. And you have 3 outputs with KineMini 🙂
When you buy only HDMI version and then you decide to upgrade for SDI you have to send it to China for hardware upgrade. So it’s better to buy it at first.
I didn’t find better way to apply specific LUT file to the specific take in Resolve than copuy it to the LUT folder. 🙁
I always try the other I have already applied and if it works it works.
In Adobe Premiere it’s much easier. You can easily choose LUT file from KineMini footage folder by Lumetri.
In Resolve you can copy .cube file to the…[Read more]
5 inch monitor is enough for me. KineMini is not a big camera so 7 inch is making it much bigger. But of course it depends on your needs.
Tilta plate is brilliant. I’ve just bought one.
It’s good because you can take out SSD disc without taking out the V-mount battery from the…[Read more]
Not exactly. It looks like you move the gamma but you loose some stops. Take a look at the screenshot with DR stops we prepared (on the left you have shadows, and white on the right)
These are 13 stops you can deal with. Not more.
When you move…[Read more]
