    Hello Kine Family,

My name is Calvin and I’m ready to pull the trigger on the Mavo S35. I was looking at the MavoLF and to be honest I’m still not sure, but at the Mavo S35 and Mavo LF kits, is the kineback worth getting? considering that I don’t record sound in camera and I can power the camera from the handle. Is the Kineback worth getting?

Hi Calvin, If you don’t record sound in camera I’d consider the KineBack lite which still gives you the v-mount battery connection.

    Hi Raafi,

First off, Brother I love your video’s and the piece you shot with the LF is what is making me really considering getting it instead of the Mavo S35, and thank you for your insight. I can’t wait to see what else you shoot with your camera’s, as well as share mine.

    Thank you !

Hi Calvin! Off topic but felt like mentioning it, among the differences between Mavo S35 and LF (besides sensor size of course) is the low light performance. I would say from what I’ve seen the Mavo S35 would be similar to the old Terra 6K but with significantly improved performance in color science and “jello effect”. The LF, on top of having dual ISO (which is awesome!) it resolves pretty nicely the shadows. I have been able to recover, without significant noise, shots that have been grossly (and stupidly) underexposed by me. The price difference is significant so not an easy decision I know. Also, Raafi is on the money by recommending the KineBack Lite, it is always nice to have options for power. The SWIT pocket 98Whr V-mount is tiny fits perfectly on the Lite and offers up to 4 hours of juice!

    Hi Gualbert,

Thank you for pointing out the difference’s not only in the sensor size but also what you’ve been able to do with the LF. I really appreciate it, a long with the battery information. I know what I’m going to order now.
